Food safety (HACCP)
Hygiene checks done on time, and kept in a register.
You schedule the temperature readings and checklists. Whoever is on shift does them from their phone, with their name and the time recorded. A temperature out of range opens a deviation to deal with.

Schedule
Two kinds of tasks, on the days and times you choose.
Temperature reading
Tied to a piece of equipment (fridge, freezer, hot holding or other) and the range it must stay in. A single limit is enough, for example 4 °C maximum.
Checklist
A list of points to tick, for example opening the kitchen. A point left unticked is recorded as a deviation.
Days and times
Every day or on chosen days, at one or several times, in the restaurant's local time.
Grace period
A task opens before its time and stays "to do" after it; then it is late. You set that period.
Who does it
Assign a task to people or to job roles. With no assignment, anyone allowed to do it can.
Edit without losing anything
Editing or deactivating a task never changes what has already been recorded.
Day to day
From reading to register.
- 01
You schedule
In the Food safety section of your dashboard, you create your equipment and your tasks.
- 02
The team does them
In Menly Floor, whoever is on shift sees what is due now and what is late. They enter the temperature, with the expected range in view, or tick the points.
- 03
A deviation opens
A temperature out of range or an unticked point opens a deviation. The person says what was done, now or later, or a manager enters it.
- 04
The register keeps it
Each reading keeps the time and the person's name. You find the history by date, and it cannot be edited.

Food safety questions
Is Menly HACCP certified?
No. Menly issues no certification and does not replace your HACCP plan or your legal obligations. It helps you schedule the checks, do them on time and keep a record of what was done.
Which plan includes food safety?
It is included from the Pro plan. It is not included in the Essential plan.
Who can do the tasks?
People who hold the matching permission, among those the task is assigned to. With no assignment, anyone allowed to do it can. Managers see and do everything.
Can the register be edited?
No. The register keeps readings as they were entered. Editing or deactivating a task does not change the history.
Do I need probes or hardware?
No. The temperature is typed in by hand in Menly Floor. Menly does not connect to probes today.
Does it work offline?
No. Recording needs a connection. If it is missing, Menly says so and the person tries again.
Does Menly handle batches, use-by dates or PDF export?
No, not today. Food safety covers temperature readings, checklists, deviations and the register.
